This 3M VFlex particulate respirator has a unique folded design with V shaped pleats that flex with mouth movement for easier talking and expand for ease of breathing. The respirator features uniquely designed tabs for positioning the respirator on the face and embossed front panel to help the respirator retain its shape.

  1. I’m a female with – as I’ve learnt through lengthy searches for a fitting mask – a smaller than average face, even for a woman. I work in healthcare, where the air is far from covid safe due to insufficient ventilation of UK hospitals (reflected in the high number of hospital-acquired covid infections), so I wear an FFP3 continuously at work to spare myself the longer term cardiovascular risks from covid infections, which are present however mild the acute infections are. This is the first FFP3 that I’ve found that comes in a size small – and I have just passed formal fit testing for it! I could not be more grateful towards 3M for finally making HSE approved FFP3 masks for all face sizes! It’s comfortable too; I don’t think I’ll have any issues wearing it for long on call shifts.

    My only negative feedback is that I wish the head-straps were adjustable, and I have to fiddle a bit with the nose strip to get a full seal (and readjust it throughout the day as it does become loose); I think the soft foam strip along the nasal bridge underneath the metal wire that some other masks come with may have made this work better.
